Because you see I also believe this is MY home and, regardless of how many mean and nasty people that are out there who will continue to make callous statements, they CANNOT take that away from us. If you never walked in a place where even the sidewalks breathe you would be oblivious. However, to say something so callous to someone who has just been through a hellish nightmare is beyond me. It is your home for godsake. Maybe its easy for a person who has never been to a historic city like New Orleans. I wish that store clerk had run into me instead. While in exile someone asked me,"why'd they build New Orleans below sea level anyway?" I countered with, "why'd they build Los Angeles on a fault line?" His response...great question. LOL. People say such stupid things, I always put the ball back in their court so they can hear just how stupid they sound. *bayoucreole giving standing ovation* This post is like you took a peek inside of my heart and wrote down what you saw.

Tue, 24 Aug 2010 05:10:19 +0000 /?p=1742#comment-5997 It really can be hard to explain to someone who doesn't live on the Gulf Coast. It is an amazing adventure, from Texas to Florida. It's exciting, frightening and magical all at the same time. It really can be hard to explain to someone who doesn’t live on the Gulf Coast. It is an amazing adventure, from Texas to Florida.
